Our exchange is due to be upgraded to Fibre this year, however on the roll out spreadsheet it is only marked up for FTTP, is this correct? As far as I know there are no cabinets in our village. And what could this mean for us as we live around 2km from the exchange (NDWIT)?
Anyone have any experience of this situation?

Put your phone number (assuming it isn't Sky or TalkTalk based, in which case use the Address option not the postcode one), into this checker and see if that mentions FTTP.
If it does, then nothing to worry about. If it doesn't, it could just be that it is too early yet for it to be showing anything.

That only shows the services enabled at the moment.
This is the document which quotes FTTP only.

It could be my 4GB RAM Win 8.1 computer, but it's saying not enough RAM to load that spreadsheet.
Then it loads it!

Doesn't tell us anything more than you did, apart from the Ashford B
Does that mean it's a BDUK deployment? If so your council should be able to tell you more.

I have a question.
For the exchanges in that spreadsheet that show FTTC/P
dose that mean they are to get FTTC and FTTP?
TalkTalk 24Mb
Current Line Status
Connection Speed 24272 Kbps 1019 Kbps
Line Attenuation 14.5 dB 5.5 dB
Noise Margin 0.3 dB 11.8 dB

Yes.

But not as options at any particular location. Rather - dependent on location.

But the exchange is only in one location...?

The users will hopefully be distributed around it rather than at one location .

But the exchange is only in one location...? Maybe not, if you delve into quantum mechanics.

If it's anything like where I am, Openreach have identified three areas that will get FTTP instead of FTTC. They don't even cover many properties, probably no more than 100 or so.

Which will be no use to me, I had hoped we would get upgraded to ADSL 2+ at least! Or I did wonder instead of running the copper from a cabinet, which we don't have any in the village at all, it would come straight from the exchange?Which would in fact give me the same kind of speeds, due to the distance.
I work from home as a web developer and it's proving to be harder and harder uploading HD video and other larger files overnight.

Until the network is built there is no way to guarantee whether you will get FTTP, or whether they might change the plans and install a cabinet (even if you don't have one now).
Some areas are getting FTTP deployed, so it may happen. Only time will tell.

I thought they were going to roll out 21CN as a matter of course.
They did in the village where my parents live even though fibre isn't due there until sometime next year. It made a big difference going from 6.8/0.45 to 20/2.4
