Fibre showing available - Exchange says coming soon.

This morning I checked the BT Where & When website and FTTC is shown as coming soon (March 2014) - we're connected to the Hurstpierpoint Exchange in West Sussex - cabinet 9. They've been having massive problems getting Fibre put in for the entire area. Even checking on the map for cabinet 9 it says they're "taking longer than usual"

So, as I have done every week for the past 10 months, I checked the BT wholesale checker this morning and it says it's available. Just completed a website order for FTTC and we have a provisional installation date in a week.

So I wonder what's happened. I suppose they could have decided to take the fibre to the other exchange...

I'm expecting for the order to be cancelled by Openreach soon.

The where and site simply isnt kept upto date with availability

The list appears to have been mis-editted this week (yesterday I think) as the number of exchanges has decrease but there are 6 new names in the list. There were 2000 exchanges now there are only 1994 in the list so we lost 12 which happens to be the number the previous week went up by!

I am of the opinion that this happens when the regular person is on Holiday and someone else edits the list incorrectly.

There can also be a delay when the site is a BDUK exchange, don't understand why, could be due to publicity announcements.

I'm on cabinet 9.

So maybe the orders won't be rejected by Openreach.
