FTTC dead on arrival

Hi,

Is FTTC connections failing on connection a common problem? Two separate friends on different providers (one self-install one not) but on the Exchange SMBA (Bradwell Abbey Milton Keynes) have just got FTTC. However, both connections have no VDSL carrier so won't sync.

One provider has said the problem is within the Exchange and nothing can be done until OR sort it out.

In one of my friends cases we are into day 6 without broadband.

Anyone got any insider information?
