I'm moving to PlusNet on Tuesday. Below are my first weeks stats with an unlocked HG612 while still with BT..
How do they look ? Has the connection reset at any time?
Do they be any indication of what I may get with PlusNet?
I'll post the same from PlusNet when live..

Do they be any indication of what I may get with PlusNet?
There is no reason why they should not be identical with Plusnet.

There is a possibility speed will be slightly lower, but this is nothing to do with Plus Net.
The following two lines show his attainable speed (Max) and synced speed (Bearer)
Max: Upstream rate = 26294 Kbps, Downstream rate = 75984 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 20000 Kbps, Downstream rate = 78364 Kbps
As we can see his downstream synced speed is quite a bit higher than his attainable, it is highly likely that the next time the modem resyncs for whatever reason his downstream will drop to around the attainable.
Whether changing ISPs will cause a resync I've no idea, either way the speeds are very good.

DLM hasn't intervened, and with an error rate that low, doesn't look to be a prospect.
My line runs at around 500 ES's per day, and gets no intervention. You are running at around 120.
Being on Plusnet should make no difference to *this* aspect of your line.

Thanks for the replies.
Is there any other stats or info it would be worth getting before the swap over ?
Thanks again.

Try to run a BQM: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/monitors.html
Strictly, it needs a static IP, but it works with manual management of IP for a short temporary period (If your IP changes, remember to disable it, so the new owner won't get confused).
Getting a static IP at plusnet costs a one-off £5, if you feel like having this run long-term.
They have a page of BQM's here: http://community.plus.net/ping-graphs/

Delete rather than disable is probably better .
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 58.7/14.6Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Hi
Migration happened with out issue (so far) this AM. BQM shows my connection to BT went off at 1am. I entered my login details into my router and now I'm on PlusNet.

BQM so far..
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/e1b8df3b778...
Any issues to start with ?
I'll post some further details including speed tests in the PlusNet thread.
Thanks
Peter

The modem stayed synced all the time, which is what I would of expected, so there has been no change in your connection speed.
Has your actual ping time changed?

Has your actual ping time changed?
I've done 2 speedtest.net tests. Both show the ping as 18ms.
Since I put the HG612 in my ping has been anywhere between 19 - 35ms.
The last few speedtest test on BT were 28, 25 & 20.
PlusNet is showing a slightly faster upload/download speedtest result than BT - both using the HG612.
Ping from my PC to BBC and Google is 14ms
When I used the ECI modem I used to get a faster connection..(as seen on speedtest results)
Would it do any harm swapping back or do I need to give it a few days to settle in ?
Peter
