Anyway to find out what the delay is

[link to this post]

HI all,

My exchange has been live for just under 3 weeks since then they have made 4 of the 14 cabs live, but unluckly for me my cab hasnt been made live.

Thing is I think its due to the cab(11) before mine numbers wise was delayed in the build phase since its only around 200m away from my cab (12), I seen them doing the power for the cab around a month and half ago but not seen any disruption for the duct install from the old cab to the fiber cab as it is 50-70m away from the old cab,

So I am thinking they were using the same ducts to feed the cabs and could have been a blockage since last week cab 11 has a fiber cab next to it and power was done the next day.

Also I seen a cab now a month ago before the exchange went live I seen a guy splicing the fiber and that is not even showing speed estimates as yet on BTW checker

Thanks and sorry if I have missed any information

Fibre only goes to the FTTC cab, the tie cables run between the PCP and FTTC cab. When your line is activated the engineer basically cuts into your line in the PCP cab and connects one pair of tie cables to one side and another pair to the other side. So now your line runs through the FTTC cab.

Ribble knows, so now you know wink

I disagree with the copper ties not being complete for Cabinet 12, there was a trench dug up for the ties about a month ago.

Cabinet 11 is now there and has ducting ties complete, it looks like..... what the hell is the hold up !

I must have missed that bud when I was at work,

What I don't get is cab 13 is sitting ready with a date of 31st of may on the checker and similar ones had this date for a few days then went live, I seen cab 15 getting the fiber spliced on the 27th of march and that is also still not even giving estimates of speed.

only about 3 or 4 cabs have been activated

When pcp11 shows as avaliable 30th of may when you put in a phone number number that's on that cab it should be live a few days later.

Or what I have noticed all cabs that are complete have a silver lock on the front of them

Going by other cabs.. Cab 11 is finished as it has a new silver lock on the front.

Don't get openreach finish a delayed cab before 2 other cabs that have been stood since December
