Without checking all your previous posts, how come you have an HG612? Did it come with a modem cable?
The engineer should fit an interstitial VDSL2 filter plate between your existing NTE5A faceplate and the wall box that has the test socket.
Note once that is in place, the socket it presents to the NTE5A is not a test socket. It is a filtered phone-only socket. (Or other non-broadband kit such as a Sky box).
To access the test socket both the NTE5A and the VDSL2 filter plate have to be removed.
