Hi guys,
I've been looking at the BT FTTP modems and am not sure of a few points:
1. Are the fibre modems NTU's used for FTTC and FTTP the same?
2. Of the modems on the link below, what are the difference? I know there are ECI and Huawei variants. But what is the difference between the 2 at the bottom an dthe one at the top? Is the one at the top just an older Huawei model with 2 LAN ports whereas the ones at the bottom have 4? Does anyone know the model numbers?

The FTTP modem is entirely different to the FTTC modem, the fttp mdoem is much bigger and has the GPON fibre port. From memory my FTTP modem is the bottom right, and the Huawei FTTC modem I had at a previous property looks more like the bottom left

Huawei GPON ONT is HG8240. Not sure about the ECI one.

No experience of the FTTP modems but can tell you that the one at the to is an FTTC modem and the lower two are BOTH FTTP devices.

No experience of the FTTP modems but can tell you that the one at the to is an FTTC modem and the lower two are BOTH FTTP devices. Agreed. Not only that but the one at the top is an HG612, not an ECI as posted by pcoventry76 earlier. See SIN 498 Section 2.3.2, Figure 6 is HG612, Figure 7 is ECI.
The descriptions of the lights for the bottom two clearly show they are FTTP modems.

See my reply to MHC. The top one is a Huawei EchoLife HG612. The port positions are different on the ECI, and the covered BBU port presents pins, not the 8-hole socket seen on the ECI.

Round this way, I have only seen the Huawei GPON ONT is HG8240 (bottom right on your link) being fitted.

The ECI is smaller than the HG612 too. Correction. The Huawei HG612 is smaller than the ECI B-FOCuS V-2FUb/r and it predecessor, the V-2FUb/I.
100% Linux and, previously, Unix.

Doh, thanks, had a feeling i had probably screwed up. My folks have an Eci and I have hg612.
