Cabinet in basement, hope for FTTC?

As Openreach have now bumped my FTTC date from today (the 31st of May) to the 31st of December, I'm wondering if it's ever actually going to happen, particularly because it seems like rather than a cabinet, our building has a comms room.

Can anyone either shed some light on whether cabinet 25 on CMCEN is indeed a proper outdoor cabinet (I had a good wander around but couldn't find it), or whether in cases of big apartment buildings without conventional cabs (but not EO lines), Openreach nonetheless figure things out?

That shows that it is planned, which the OP knows.

I'm guessing but they could still stand the cabinet outside, or possibly in the coms room it's self.

Dates often slip, so no surprise it's been pushed back.

Edit: The OP could also keep an eye on http://roadworks.org/ as there may be something shown on there - select the option to see the next 12 months.

The exchange is opposite so there's usually an Openreach van or two nearby, though that doesn't seem to be making much of a difference when it comes to actually installing any kind of fibre.

I managed to come across someone from Kelly yesterday and he very happily looked up my cab on his phone and confirmed that it is indeed inside the building, so again, I'm wondering if anyone knows how Openreach handle such a situation?

I mean, I can dream of them handling it by doing pure FTTP, though I'm rarely that lucky, and the BTW checker still says FTTC, albeit with December 31st as the new date .

Personally, I don't think it will go ahead.
If it does then they would likely site the DSLAM cabinet outside where if can be readily accessed and run a copper link to existing cab/ frame

BT pretty much abandoned FTTP bar new builds and where they are getting subsidy a while back.

It quite literally doesn't enter into the equation.
