No, faulty ties from the PCP to the DSLAM. Once your line pushed through to DSLAM no dial tone coming back. Unusual for them to be sending a PCR engineer, unless of course there's no other good spares, normally a lift and shift done at the time would sort it.

OK, summit major is up with it then. Often just the terminations in the DSLAM cab. Good luck.

So clearly something 'bigger' than a single port being faulty, hence the PCR engineer visit.

It's spelt fibre in the uk, not fiber.

You will just have to wait for the August date now.

No they won't frown. My attenuation is 19.8dB on what I know is a good line to the cabinet.
Max: Upstream rate = 13895 Kbps, Downstream rate = 55572 Kbps
Bearer: 0, Upstream rate = 14130 Kbps, Downstream rate = 56618 Kbps
Your speeds may even go down between now and Friday, as that's when DLM takes action if it thinks it necessary.
At provision, the line is put on wide open VDSL2 line profiles allowing the upstream and downstream line speeds to run at the upper limit of the product option selected.

On the first day of operation, DLM will intervene if severe instability is detected. Otherwise, DLM will wait until the day after provision before deciding if it must intervene, provided that the line has been trained up for at least 15 minutes during the preceding day.
After that you should be fairly stable, though if it leaves you on Fast Path you may find Interleaving kicks in and occasionally out again. That can cost 10Mbps.
