My exchange and cabinet are part of the Superfast Wales program and their web site says fibre rollout due to start in March 2015.... so I realise things are often delayed but lets say they stick to this schedule is this the date fibre will start to be available or is it when they start work?

Ok so if all goes to plan that should be the date that at least one cab should be able to get FTTC.
Apart from being excited to get FTTC I am also deciding whether I stick with my ISP (out of contract) or switch. Thinking it's probably best to wait to next year so I can get a better deal once Fibre is available.

We had a June roll out date. My sisters cab seems to have finally gone live this week, as it now shows an expected clean speed of 79.9 Mbps. However I remain in the slow lane while some suit in an office takes his sweet time to decide where to "resite" a cabinet due to issues with the ground at the original site.
Its frustrating seeing cabs going in all around while nothing happens to yours. Especially when your ISP has just made changes that have made the service deteriorate. The service in this part of town really does suck and has done ever since Dial up.
According to our local BDUK project my house was in area that "superfast anticipated to be available between July 2014 and December 2014" it actualy became available on 29th June, BUT only at an expected speed of between 4 and 6 Mb so unless you know where your cabinet will be don't get too excited.
Mine finally got a date of Dec 2014 in the latest batch and already at least 1 cab has been installed. Here's hoping it happens sooner but if it doesn't, I'm just happy we're getting it at all!!!
If you check the Planning applications section of your National Park/Council Planning website, you can also check to see what cabinets are being done as they won't be doing every cab in every town.
