find out if/when my cabinet will be upgraded? cotham/bristol

Hi there,

it seems like the cabinet I am was not part of a previous rollout in Cotham Bristol, and I'm wondering if it's possible to find out if/when it might be FTTC enabled?

I am on cabinet 7, which shows the following:

I checked roadworks.org to see if there were any phone related roadworks in the next 12 months but there's nothing reported. I cannot find my cabinet on google maps using streetview, so I'm not sure where it is relative to my house. I know that people the next street over do have fibre, but my street doesn't, which is frustrating.

I tried emailing the nga.enquiries email address, but it seems to have been closed.

any advice on how to find out more would be appreciated.

I may have found the cabinet, i thought that all cabinets were green, but it seems, from close inspection, that this one was green, but has been painted black (there a tiny bit of green near the bottom where they didn't go low enough with the paint). Does that signify anything? It has a manhole next to it with a CAT V on it. All in all the cabinet is super close to my house, being less than 20-30m away.

Thats does not look like a BT cab more likely VM, whats your postcode as we can use it to find your cab.

Which actual exchange since several exchanges surround Cotham and it obviously makes a big difference.

intersting this date a openreach confidential informaion it is pnly proivded to service provider for use in marketing in an eqaul and euiavalenet manner and not for public use -- it appears that website is not from a CP

And no visible plans for the cabinet, its in Bristol City so outside the normal BDUK project areas, so only business vouchers, thus relying on the commercial investment from BT which is pretty much at an end.

Cabinet size is reasonable and would have expected it to be enabled, but it may be space on pavement/power/planning issues that have held them back.

Openreach has announced £50m of money for infill in various commercial areas, but with the widespread Virgin Media presence they might go for a city centre elsewhere with no Virgin coverage.
