Crackling Line, will Fibre resolve?

I have crackling on the line for a few months now. Openreach engineers haven't been able to fix the problem. Changed all equipment, modems, filter, telephone line and socket.
Line is with BT and ADSl with sky. BT is blaming sky and sky is blaming BT.

Does Fibre VDSL work on the same technology? If I upgrade to fibre can I still get the same issue?

It depends what and where the cause of the crackle is.

I had severe crackling my line which would have destroyed my ADSL service due to BT Wholesale DLM if I hadn't been on O2 LLU which didn't mind the many disconnections I got (and could tolerate).

I was almost sure (for a variety of reasons) the problem was between the cabinet and exchange. A move to FTTC cured that as the noise is filtered out at the cabinet.

If the cause had been between the cabinet and my house it would have been worse on FTTC.

Two questions. Is that Sky LLU or Sky Connect, and do you have a Sky (TV) box?

It is SKY LLU and I have a Sky TV box.

I have an intermittently cracking line that line tester says is ok.

BT/OR Engineer came to investigate on a day there was no crackles (sod's law) and did a check and said all tests were fine.

With or without any crackles, doesn't seem to affect my BT Infinity 2 connection speeds though.

Next time you have crackling on the line, disconnect the Sky box by either pulling the power plug out of the wall socket or switching the socket off if it has one. The power supply unit itself can go faulty.

Probably nothing to do with things, but best to rule it out.

Already changed the modem/router three times several microfilters, line phone socket line.. The fault is outside. The internet is working fine.

I just wanted to check that if same problems can apply to fibre?

If it is between you and the cabinet, no. If it is between the cabinet and the exchange or exchange kit, probably yes.

I was just trying to cover things that might not have been checked. Even fluorescent light fiittings might cause phone crackle. Or fractionally loose phone cable plugs.
