FTTC cab for 2 years, still no fibre and constant delays

Hey, I've made some posts before but reading some more I've not found any instances of there being a FTTC cabinet this long without being activated.

Does anyone know what could possibly cause 2 years of delays? For a cab already sitting there?

I've written to my MP and local council, but I expect guys one here probably know more anyways

Hey Ribble what about mine LNILC cabinets 24 and 39.
My phone is connected to phone cabinet 24 and the upper half of our road and sever off roads are on 39.
We have also been waiting for fibre since 2011.

Yeah, they started work on it back in 2011 and in 2012/2013 we had the manifold and the bottle installed and still nothing

Seems they suspended most FTTP work, possibly to concentrate resources elsewhere. No timescale to resume work

Thanks, well they seem to be doing FTTP installs (14 phone cabinets partly done), but these seem a lot slower rollouts, Sadly mine isn't one of those, see this is why I get very frustrated with openreach, we was suppose to of got it all installed the end of 2011 and we are part of phase 05b and part of BT's 66% and still are as far as I can see, so we should of been done by now.

I do know the last install that they have completed that is due to go live December 31st 2014 is phase 10a and all what they have completed so far is all FTTC.

I think I will ask my friends that works at openreach to see what's happening, not too sure if they will be allowed to tell me much more than what they have already, but its worth a try.

Well I thought I would update this finally with a success story!

Cabinet was finally enabled 2 weeks ago, got my fibre Tuesday 30th September (also got out of old contract so not paying two lines)



Extremely happy with the connection, finally its over....
