BT IP BRAS Profile

[link to this post]

Which isp are u with and please run BTw PT test here: http://speedtest.btwholesale.com

1) tick Yes and click Begin Test and wait for test result
2) click Further Diagnostic
3) enter your Telephone Number of the broadband circuit in the box
4) click Run Diagnostic Test and wait for the result

Did it show up BT IP BRAS Profile on your line? If not working, please state which isp are u with as I am going to leave this thread to find out if Plusnet are the only isp who still refused BTw PT IP Bras Profile to show up as I just want to know if other isp's experience this as well. These might help BT Wholesale to investigate of the problem with BTw PT.

Thanks.

As you know, my Plusnet connection goes through successfully to and completes the further diagnostics.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.6/14.1Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Few customers are ok, some are not! Mine still refused. My parents still refused. My friends still refused. All on Plusnet.

No problems here as a PN customer either. Although the tester didn't work with some versions of Chrome.

Works fine on EE and always has done.

And it's not a BRAS Profile, as you always refer to it, but a BT IP Profile. They are however closely related.

Doesn't work for me either, speedtest part works ok but 'further diagnostics' gives 'internal server error'. ISP PlusNet. It did work however when I was on BT Infinity.

Its often broken for everyone. It may also need Java to work properly and latest Flash. Much security software blocks out of date versions, and many browsers now block out of data Java and Flash as soon as new one released. (Java was last week, Flash was updated yesterday).

I'm on Plusnet fibre with my own router and Openreach HG612 from my BT infinity installl.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 48.95 Mbps
IP Profile for your line is - 50.47 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 8.22Mbps
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

James - plusnet unlimited fibre - 2 Jun 14 - 470m - Sync 55/9.4 (BT was 51/9.8)
15 years broadband (1999 ntl:cable trial) - Asus RT-AC68U with HG612 - PN BQM - PN speed - old BT speed

I think 3rd world developers had got their hands on it and broke it, same as the line test facility - that's broke too.

MrSaffron - could you please kindly pass this thread onto BT Wholesale to investigated it. I do believe BTw PT is a hit and miss on most customers, on some isp's. This is a definitely possible fault somewhere on BTw system that refused BRAS IP Profile.

3rd world developers would have made a much better job of it than the work experience kiddies that BT used frown

Works fine for me on Plusnet FTTC. Incidentally, I presume yours also fails if you use https://windows.mouselike.org/be/index.asp?DoAction=...

No it still won't work. Message say:

Looks like BT refused to test, possibly because a speed test or BRAS check has been run recently which prevents this tool from working. Try again in a few hours.
Debug: BT no BRAS info
