Recently Openreach and their various contractors have been working in and close to smal villages near me, and recently they replaced a load of existing poles and seemed to renew/update the cabling on the same route. From these attached photos, can anyone tell me if they're to do with a BDUK overlay? There are far more obvious examples near here, which have what are almost certainly fibre splitter/distribution nodes at the top of poles, but this one and its neighbours are slightly different. Obviously a lot of attention has been paid to "staying" the pole, and ensuring the cables don't droop, and I assume one of those is a completely normal joint. but what about the distribution box which seems to be mounted externally of something else? i.e. on the "left" of the post, as we look at the photo.
I assume someone will know, sorry for my ignorance and cheers for any helpful replies.
