FTTP or FTTPoD in Cheshire/Merseyside?

Hi all.

I am moving house from Cornwall to the NW, either the Wirral part of merseyside or somewhere around Chester.

I wondered if there are any known areas that are 330mbit enabled?

None of Wirral no. Chester South is enabled for FTTP, basically the area round Handbridge.

Ever considered Virgin Media? They operate in quite a few places in the NW.

Virgin Media operates in some parts, very patchy.
No FTTPod that I know of.

VM's coverage is not that patchy in Wirral there is a pattern to it. Their hub site for Wirral is in Bromborough so their network spreads out from there up the East side of the Wirral and also Willaston and Neston. They built the duct up to Heswall from Neston but then ran out of money. There is no Virgin Media coverage in Chester.

The OP isn't replying so I'm not sure if he's reading any of this anyway.

I guess there isn't a standard definition for 'patchy', to remove doubt, here's Virgin's coverage map of Wirral according to Thinkbroadband.
