My exchange is upgraded to fibre but my cabinet is not.

My exchange has been upgraded to fibre and other cabs near us have also been upgraded but our cabinet has not. Does anyone know how I find out when or if my cabinet is being upgraded. the postcode is RG6 4UW?

any information would be greatly appreciated

Do you think you are on cabinet 16 on Reading South?

Looks like it will probably come to you, but may be a few months or a year away.

I make that Danehill, your cab 64 or 63 (having a senior moment) pretty much only feeds the businesses down there ........

A sceptic might think that the cab was passed over (Reading South got FTTC about three years ago) to maintain leased line revenue from the businesses.

I wouldn't hold your breath, FTTC 'backfill' seems to have happened already for Reading South, just 24 on Elgar Rd South got done AFAIK.

I think that must make me a sceptic lol many thanks for your information means I don't need to do much digging and put up with the really poor broadband we get here
