Lame request.

A friend is moving to Chapel Close, Crantock, Cornwall. I believe the postcode is TR8 5XT but trying all the usual checkers is giving me no results ..... Though Google Streetview shows them as next door to the exchange !

Can anyone give any more info please ?

Oh, and they can't get the current number at the moment !

It would seem your postcode information is incorrect...

Try TR8 5RX or TR8 5SQ.

I hope that helps at least a little.
 
(edit: one shows incorrectly on google maps still, but gives the answer of 'high demand' on the openreach where and when site, as opposed to unable to determine by postcode)

The Royal Mail postcode finder says that TR8 5RX is the right one for the whole of the street.

The BTW DSL checker says that there's a DSLAM on the same street, with that postcode, so speeds of 80/20 aren't a surprise.

I'm guessing no Virgin cable, and by the look of the often dubious Samknows, no LLU in the exchange ?

Virgin Cable? What's that?

Definitely no VC - AFAIK there's none in Cornwall, apart from maybe parts of Saltash (just across the Tamar Bridge from Plymouth).
