When I had an engineer out to investigate a "permanent" drop in sync speed on my line following a "noise" incident, he did a DLM reset and discovered the DSLAM wouldn't respond to the request. He tried several other things but none worked.

I am not surprised to find that my reported profile has now dropped to 64.14, which pretty much matches my new sync of 66259. I assume the discrepancy was a delay of information getting through the system; maybe the profile really was lower during that period and the webpage misreported, or .... I guess I'll never know; and anyway I was just curious and it not that important.

Next step is to hope for a smooth transition to Plusnet; and then (orthogonal) for OR/DLM to give me fastpath back
