I currently take Virgin Media 30Mb cable broadband and home phone, been with them since 2007.
Checking other ISPs' websites for broadband availability, their checkers do not recognise my phone number. Thought ok since it's a VM phone. However, in nearly all cases, my address is not recognised either. For the sites that do offer an address pulldown, my house number is either not listed, or shows as "only select if not in above list". My house is a 1930's mid-terrace.
BT Wholesale Availability Checker (address checker, as phone number not recognised) says "Your address has been successfully matched; however we cannot determine ADSL availability at this address."
All other houses in the postcode incl. neighbours' in the same terraced block, show FTTC available, both on the BT wholesale tracker as well as individual ISP sites.
Openreach Superfast Where And When shows my postcode as Accepting Orders.
Oddly, in Jan 2013 I had successfully placed an online order for BT Infinity, which I then cancelled the same day after VM gave me a better deal to stay on.
Not sure why my home is uniquely not recognised / singled out for non-availability, more so when it seems to have been available when I placed my BT order last year. Can anyone help?
Thanks
