FTTC for Exchange Only

I noticed outside my local exchange EAWDB - Woodbridge in Suffolk they are adding new PCPs and DSLAMs, presumably enabling the Exchange Only lines with FTTC. Very exciting times. Anyone else noticed this ? Or is this a Suffolk thing ?

Happening in a good number of places.

There is even small amounts of FTTP popping up in various county projects too.
