Fibre Connection

Hi All,
I have seen numerous post on here and have been extremely glad to see people facing similar issues like i am. I stay in the following address

12x Ability Place
37 Millharbour
E14 9HW

Replace x with a digit. Most of my neighbours already has BT Infinity fibre connection with the exception of myself. I have called BT and they told me they would require my neighbours landline number in order to file for an investigation which seems ...

Is it possible for everyone around me to have BT Infinity and not myself ? How can i raise this to BT to get this through to someone who has authority to make decision/check. Can this be another postcode problem ? Please help, Thanks.

There might be a database issue here.

Using the BT Availability checker;

Click the Address Checker option and search using your postcode (E14 9HW) and building number (37) will show quite a few of the flats can get FTTP and quite a few can't. The main building address can't get it.

However, Royal Mail has one other postcode for this building - E14 9HB. That doesn't show as many flats but it may turn out that there has been another postcode used as well.

Your ISP may have to do a bit of detective work with the BT Openreach address database or even raise a case with them to get an explanation.

Any post can be edited by the poster for up to 12 hours. So the OP can remove it if he wishes. There are ten possible addresses there, don't forget.

If it's FTTC I think you will find the FTTC cabinet is full. Poplar exchange has always had huge fibre demand, and for years it was a case of waiting for an FTTC user to leave. I remember many frustrated posters in the past.

For instance, this thread, which I found (and remember) by using the forum Search facility for All posts.

If it's FTTP, then the ISP your are trying, BT, are the only mass market one doing FTTP apart from trials, so you will have to go along with what they ask. This thread is worth a read. RONSKI seemed to have useful information in that one.

Which cabinet?

Flat 100 can get FTTP, for example.

It is a fun postcode

Some EO and shared over 3 cabinets.

It may or may not be a mistake, a lot will depend on the layout of the flats and whether it is a roll-out that is part built or not. Have you tried going via BT Infinity people and what was their response.
