Will it go live?

[link to this post]

Hi,
I've been watching the build of cab1 on Gargunnock (ESGAG)and it it finally got its power last week. Its supposed to be rfs on 1st Nov. Can anyone check if its still on plan?. Also I've been advised by BT OR that I should be able to order from the end of November (fk8 3bj on a EO line cluster) BT have planned roadworks in the village to the end of the month at the DP I'm connected to on Station Road. I'm hoping that it is related to possibly providing FTTP as that's what a number of learned friends have suggesdted my post code is planned to get. Anyone care to make a comment? wink Thanks

Hi,

No FTTP is planned for your area yet. FTTC should be available by December

Hi, are you using samknows, roadworks and BT where and when to get your info?
Fttp is definately planned as I've had that confirmed by Openreach CSC as well as 2 separate entities that have access to the PCP data.

Like they said, lots of new duct required.

Lots of duct could be months, I wouldn't be surprised if they came back and said March-15.

Hi Ribble,

Can I be cheeky and ask for any update on Lane End Cab 2?

You mentioned ducting issues, and there was some work done, and now roadworks.org looks clear.

On another note, did anyone notice a new version of roadworks.org for a couple of hours yesterday morning? It actually showed the work detail for me, which it has never done before (does do for others).

Cheers,

AP

Thanks!

Saw them run the cable for power quite a ago. Finally got a reply from CC, the "minor ducting issue" is dragging on.....sigh....

Ribble
thank you sir, you are a gentleman, its been difficult to get any relevant info from Digital Scotland .
I had hoped after all the flurry of activity at the exchange at the end of October during the day and also during the night meant we were close to going live.
Do you suspect this will mean it will be into next year B4 PCP 1 is live? Maybe that means the build of PCP2 might be accelerated if they could switch both on? Can I also ask if you have any data on ESKIP PCP2 its being suggested as by the end of the year too.
A Hundred thanks
Gregor
