Everything looks fine to me, though I'm no expert compared to the likes of Bald_Eagle1, RONSKI and WWWombat.

Mine is almost identical, except I'm a lot further than you must be from the cabinet:-
Discovery Phase (Initial) Band Plan
US: (7,32) (871,1205) (1972,2782)
DS: (33,859) (1216,1961) (2793,3970)
Medley Phase (Final) Band Plan
US: (7,32) (871,1205) (1972,2780)
DS: (33,859) (1216,1961) (2793,3970)
Attainable Net Data Rate: 14634 kbps 54416 kbps
I wonder if it is the make of cabinet? Mine is Huawei. Perhaps the others are ECI.

(Edit: By the way, I recently discovered what is different about xdslcmd info --show from xdslcmd info --stats. They are the same except show doesn't give the long time breakdown of the error stats).

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 56.4/14.5Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Thanks for reply Robertos.
Yes I'm very close to cabinet. On JDSU it shows as 300m.
Lets wait and see what experts will say about stats. Just wondering because I have no idea whatsoever.
BTW my cabinet is Huawei as well
PS. Im wondering why my graph look like that. no usage on line http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/a08edde3f16...

That looks to me as though something is using it!

Two thoughts. Have you got your wireless secured, and second do you use P2P and although you aren't downloading could something be uploading from someone else's demand?

Let me guess.

TalkTalk or Entanet based?

If you say it is Coms Ltd that bought ADSL24 I shall have to shoot you.

There has been a slow increase in the complaints in this forum over the last few months and also in others on this site. Off-hand I can't remember when and where.

If you PM me the reseller name I may be able to give more information.

Missed this originally, but I'll answer for posterity...

The line is working fine, and has quite low attenuation figures in the "--pbParams" output - slightly under half the values of my (old) 350-400m line.

If your line is 300m from the cabinet, then it is on thicker copper than 0.5mm; you are getting results akin to nearer 100m of standard copper (which I'd be able to confirm if BT got their finger out & installed fibre in our new home).

Those max speeds - 133/42 - are among the highest I've seen, though they are likely to decline as crosstalk affects things when takeup increases.

As for the "-4dBm"; it isn't a thing to be worried about. The negative number only means that you are transmitting at a lower power than some reference value; by itself it means nothing ... so long as you are getting your package speed (20Mbps) with 6dB SNRM or higher.

The likely reason for transmitting at a lower power is because of "upstream power backoff", where the DSLAM has ordered you to reduce power because you are so close. If your modem shouted louder, you'd be interfering with the signal on longer lines.

The discovery issue ... is a strange one. It seems that ECI cabinets get different boundaries to Huawei cabinets. It ought to be configurable, and ought to be easy to make it consistent ... but isn't. Perhaps the manufacturers' transceivers have some intrinsic limitations.

That is one reason. It is also possible to swamp the input stage of the DSLAM causing distortion and corruption. There is a fairly wide dynamic range however there will be a finite limit.

The same also happens on downstream too - I saw it on a few ADSL lines close to the exchange.

Those reporting (0,95) are using older modem firmware versions (pre-October 2013 updates).

These are the latest band plans from Huawei DSLAMs when using updated HG612 firmware versions:-

Discovery Phase (Initial) Band Plan
US: (7,32) (871,1205) (1972,2782)
DS: (33,859) (1216,1961) (2793,3970)

These are the latest from ECI DSLAMs:-

Discovery Phase (Initial) Band Plan
US: (6,31) (882,1193) (1984,2770)
DS: (33,857) (1218,1959) (2795,4083)

So, we can see that you are connected to a Huawei DSLAM.

However, your DS band plan ends at tone 3959.

That could either be that your modem hasn't fully flashed with the latest firmware or that the DSLAM's firmware itself hasn't been updated.

I'm more inclined to think your modem's firmware is only partially updated.
