Cabinet info request - connecting Cheshire

Hello

I was wondering can anyone provide any info on cab 210 in winwick Warrington. It's part of connecting Cheshire and work has been done over the last 12 months on the estate. I have been told fibre has been laid to it and it's just waiting for a fttc cab to be installed but no one seems to know when this will happen.

Any info much appreciated.

Days to Months afterwards (or years, or never!). If there's fibre and power, then should be quite quick.

Unfortunately cabinet 210 isn't in our current Connecting Cheshire plan. It could be part of the commercial roll-out, hence the work you've seen in the area, but you'd need to speak to the commercial providers directly to find out.

I have been told it definitely is, and whenever they are doing work it has the Connecting Cheshire sign?

At the moment, it's not in our plans. But new areas will come on under our Superfast Extension Programme - but I'm pleased our guarding is getting us publicity at the moment.

I have been told by connecting Cheshire it is 100% part of the plans. The cab has been renumbered is your data definitely correct? It's part of winwick park.

No cab = no fibre or power, though there maybe tubing and fibre to a node near the proposed site. Power will come after the cabinet is installed

At the moment it's not on our main project list - that's not to say there won't be adjustments in future and with our SEP programme.

Local residents can add their name to our mailing list via our website - once cabs in their postcode area come online, we can email people to let them know, so if anything changes, that's the best bet.

I had a meeting with guys from Connecting Cheshire and Openreach at Burtonwood and was told there had been some confusion and this cab was 100% part of the rollout. On the map its part of the rollout. The cab was replaced from an old grey cab and while that was being done 'Connecting Cheshire' signs were attached to the fencing.

Really confused you are now telling me its not part of your plans?

I think we can probably rely on Ribble's posts. The source of the provision doesn't really matter as long as the cab goes in and gets commissioned .

Enquiring anywhere when that will be won't speed it up.

Even if there is some confusion on this cabinet, it is pretty good to see the project on here and willing to answer questions!

Some cabinets in Winwick Park use an older technology. Before we can look at installing the fibre cabinets, there's quite a few pieces of work that need to take place. As you can imagine, this makes the whole process a little more complicated (and time consuming) than our usual work.

We have also had some land ownership issues to resolve in order for new cabinets to be installed. These technical and ownership issues have recently been resolved and 3 new cabinets are now being stood in the Winwick Park area to provide FTTC services.
