Hi All,
I'm looking for information on Cabinet 34 around the Broughton, Flintshire area.
There is a BT Cabinet here (head towards the roundabout, passed McDonalds, passed Carphone warehouse, then just before the roundabout its on the right hand side) https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Broughton,+Chest...
Is this Cab 34? Can I tell which cabinet is which by any numbers on it?
Can anybody tell me when Cab 34 will be FTTC enabled?
Thanks in advanced.
Gareth

I'd certainly say from the pic that it's a cab as it's got what looks like a BT manhole next to it. As for finding out the number, not sure. All the ones I've seen usually have the cab number painted on them. Unless that's a fairly new one and they haven't gotten around to numbering it yet.

Looks very new to me, based on the cement work.
I'd check the manhole covers (looks BT to me) to see if it says "BT", "Telephone" or "Post Office" on then, just to be sure.
If there's an electricity warning on it, then probably not a PCP, and maybe a type of FTTC cab?

If you move left or right of that view and zoom in you get a much better view of the cabinet which looks possibly like FTTC. The photo is dated May 2011 though so not that new.
The Postcode Checker for LL13 7LW where that appears to be only shows ADSL. However, the address checker for Unit 6A Island Green Shopping Centre on the same post code (which is the CPWarehouse address) shows near full speed FTTC but it is for Cabinet 20 (if that is the one in the image [or a twin installed since] which seems likely), not Cab 34 that you are looking for.
I expect someone else here will know where yours is....

It's one of these. The number is on the white square at the top right. In the OP's case Ribble has already confirmed it is 34.

Ribble, thanks for the confirmation - any plans for it to be upgraded? This must be the cabinet that 50+ houses will be connected to on the new estate.
Thanks

Bumping this thread as I found it by looking for info on the same cabinet. BT where and when shows that this is enabled for fibre but not taking orders yet. Looking at this page (go to the bottom) http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/fttc-cabinets.htm and from the google street view image you linked it looks like an all in one PCP & FTTC
I've been trying to find out how long it will take before ordering can be made available as I can only get 1MB download, so if it's going to take a while longer I need to look at a mobile data plan to keep me going as it's just too slow for what I need.
Haven't been able to get any other timescale info at all so really desperate to find out if any one is in the know!?

The Google street view image is dated May 2001 whereas AIO cabs were first deployed late summer 2014.
Ribble, earlier in this thread, has stated that there are currently no plans to upgrade cab 34 and he usually privy to such information.

Thinks may have changed Ribbles comment was nearly a year ago. Fair comment. Unfortunately codelook still has nothing shown as being planned for cab 34 on the Hawarden exchange

Hi guys, I too needed info on this cabinet, Superfast Cymru appears to be responsible for it. They have said in reply to me on Twitter that go-live should be the end of April;
