Concerns over moving to fttc

Hi,

My line was syncing between 6.8 and 7.8mb untill recently (as in last month - currently down to 4,751 kbps). My cabinet has finally been upgraded to fttc today (yay). anyhow giving the recent and rapid lost in adsl 2+ speeds i'm worried that i'm gonna end up with the lower impacted range

FTTC Range A (Clean) 25.6 18 5.1 3.3 -- Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 20.5 10.4 4.3 0.8 -- Available

I'm currently 1.5km from the cabinet and for adsl atm i'm 3.2km from the exchange. I think you can see my concern as i'm worried that given the impacted adsl2+ i will have the same issues on the fttc side and end up with 10mb. Are my fears justified.

Same ADSL2+ speeds and same sort of range as me for my two FTTC lines and get this

Of course no guarantee your speeds will be the same, and around 100m further out if your estimate is correct, so might be more like 16 Mbps to 17 Mbps as probably worst case.

For me its the extra upload that is most useful, and generally no more worries about HD streaming and have found 4K stuff on YouTube plays if I let it buffer for a few seconds (processor load on the PC is a bigger issue)

Interesting and of course every line is different. its just shocking i've gone down from 7/1 to 4.7/1 .. And of course the extra upload is always nice.

will also delpend if you have self install or engineer visit install as well as some of that impacted is aroud you internal wirring

Might be worth posting your line stats from the router on ADSL. If there is something obvious then it could be worthwhile getting any line problems fixed while still on ADSL

the SnR is the big loss as was 4.4 at 7.3mbs to 7.8mbs. It started to come down since sept 20ish. I have tried another microfilter on the line (in the test socket with only a dect phone attached )
