Adlington exchange - Cabinet 10

Our village was upgraded for fibre in September/October and our exchange only line was moved into a shiny new pcp cabinet outside of the exchange - with a fibre cabinet put in right next to it. An openreach engineer working on the cabinets told my neighbour that it was all finished (around the 1st week of October).

When I check at dslchecker there is no fibre available to me (other than fibre multicast - which I've no idea what that is) and no date for availability. The fibre cabinet has power (I can hear the fans), and it is connected to the pcp cabinet according to the engineer who was working on a fault a few days ago.

Can anyone shed any light on when it might be available, or if there are any problems holding it up?

Phone number more accurate than address

Hi gregormac, I'm with talktalk at the moment so the phone number search doesn't work for me. I've found the phone number online for a shop a few doors down from us on the same cabinet and those results are:

Don't talktalk have a fibre checker?

O.K that means that the Cabinet hasn't actually been made live yet.
Looks like all the other cabs 1-9 were part of BDUK Lancs Phase 13B and had a planned live date of 31st Oct but there isn't any details on cab 10 on the checkers I can access.
There are a few people on here that are in the know here that may be able to say what the hold up is, but Id say to just keep checking the BT wholesale Checker daily for when its ready.

Each cabinet goes through a commissioning phase once everything is connected, so depends on how fast those teams are working.

If its a BDUK funded cabinet sometimes the checkers show no future availability date until the cabinet is actually ready to order. Depends on the council involvement in the project. EO work in the pure commercial zone is rare (very rare)
