HELP : Served By 1 cabinet but 2 diffrent answers for fibre

A mate is still waiting for Fibre so i used the BT checker and came up with this;

11 Preston Ln Allerton Bywater, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 2HQ ok for Fibre Cabinet 20

6 woodside street ,Allerton Bywater castleford West Yorkshire WF10 2HF not available cabinet 20

so can anyone tell me whats going on ?

WF10 2HF used to be linked with cabinet 41 on that exchange, so unless some network rearrangement has taken place the wholesale checker is wrong.

Re-arrangement is possible, but the checker does go out of wack for a while, so give it a week or two before panicking and declaring it an error.

I just took a look as well and noticed its provides FTTP on Demand however I would of thought it would need to also have displayed FTTC as well, but maybe I am wrong, its the first time I have seen the on demand info.

51 Woodside Grove WF10 2HG Also shows no fibre on cabinet 20
17 Brigshaw DRIVE WF10 2HT does show ok for fibre both are on cabinet 20

This looks like a very small cabinet superfast westyorkshire says phase 3 upgrade for the WF10 2HF postcode

Leave it a few days and if still behaving the same get back to me and will see about looking at other postcodes in the area and pestering.

From a peek at data, suspect cab 41 is a new one to deal with Exchange Only lines and this has caused 'oddities' in other areas that do usually sort themselves out as database updates finally make it through all the systems involved.

LOL, I just love where he parked up, he could of parked up anywhere like a side road, but where does he park, at a bus stop

Preston Lane has different answers with the same postcode too

Has that cabinet even been installed yet, I have done loads of checks for postcodes that say are for that cabinet, however BT DSL Checker say they are still EO Lines or the odd couple to other cabinets like 7, 19, 20 etc, and there are still huge amounts still as EO Lines.

Basically it says that they are 100% on cabinet 41 as well as being 100% on an EO Line, or it says 100% on 41 and also 95% on one EO block and another 4% on another EO block.

So maybe BT DSL Checker is delayed being updated or the EO Lines haven't fully been moved over to cabinet 41.

Still have half to check though.

yep, your right, was very early when I read the previous replies.

But yeah it seems that its either the EO Lines haven't been moved over and or cabinet 41 has yet to be installed or the BT DSL Checker needs updating, which the few days you said may allow enough time for the database to be updated, that's if they have been moved over.

Could Cabinet 41 be outside the telephone exchange or maybe near Kippax
The reason i ask i noticed where i live on EO lines ( BT have just started to install Cab,new mancover,& fibre cab ) that when upgraded it says on (CodeLook ) that it covers a bigger area then just my estate with 50 houses on and runs to another estate about 3/4 of a mile away.

Found Cab 41 Spoke to BT engineer and he used his laptop to find it,
He also said that the address in Allerton bywater number 6 woodside street WF10 2HF the pole outside number 18 feeds back to Cabinet 20 ( which does have a new casing and new fibre cabinet next to it )
I took some photos of them Both 41 & 20 so how do i display them if possible ?

Also spoke to a local lad that lives at 15 Brigshaw Lane WF10 2HN has Fibre working ,Bt checker says Cabinet 20.
He's Friend lives on Woodside Grove but same as Woodside Street does not have Fibre, Could the cabinet
be full ?

The cabinet, 20, is not full. It is open to orders.
