So I know I have been wasting your guys time about fibre all the time, well BDUK told me that I should see the dslam for FTTC being put up in January. Nothing has happened. I know that the other cabinets on the exchange have had delays! Cabinet 4 was supposed to be fibre enable in November, now its February and nothing has happened! I am connected to cabinet 2, on Danehill exchange. Please anyone tell me what going on!

No information on dates, looked at the 'future' notifications on roadworks.org ?

But if there's no fibre DSLAM in place yet, then it's going to be some time before it's rolled out at cabinet level.

So which is first - Exchange or Cabinet?

Exchange normally.
In this case, Danehill is covered by two BDUK areas - West and East Sussex.
I can see that the exchange had the hardware to support FTTx as early as 2010 and then in July last year further equipment was added.
The March 2015 Pending Activation refers to when FTTx will first come available (not details on which cabinets etc). The problem with the dates is that they are not being reported accurately in many cases at the moment.
Looking at the number of blockage works filed on roadworks.org, I would assume that's the reason behind the delay.

Do you know when phase 14b is for west Sussex?
|
|
|
You could email them at [email protected] and ask - I emailed them and had a response back in less than 24 hours.

The phases are just order of original announcement, they give no guarantee that work on a phase will be done by a certain date
