FTTP for EO line SLMIS exchange

[link to this post]

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can provide more information than seems to be available from the BT checker. I'm on an EO line (postcode - DN10 4BL) on the SLMIS exchange.

Sometime ago BT announced that FTTC/FTTP was coming to the exchange. So being on an EO line I hoped to have the option of FTTP. But as of late Samknows no longer shows a date against FTTP :-/

I know that some of the cabinets in the village have been updated to FTTC and my street appears to be covered by the Nottinghamshire Better Broadband roll out but I would be good to know if there is any further information out there.

Thanks.

i am on a EO too and BT have just installed new cabinets just outside the Telephone exchange.
check http://roadworks.org/ to see if any work near exchange is planned ( Look for the Telephone icon sign on the map )

Looks like part of the street your on may have been upgraded on Cabinet 4 around January 2015

Found this one so far

Postcode DN10 4LX FTTP Planned Phase BDUK Nottinghamshire 13b

I've a look on roadworks.org and couldn't see any BT work in the area in the next 12 months frown

Trying out different house numbers on the BT checker I was able to see that some of the houses further down my street are on cab 4 which as you said has already been upgraded.

Any idea what 'FTTP Planned Phase BDUK Nottinghamshire 13b' means? On the Nottinghamshire BB When and Where why only mention 7 phases.

Thanks

I "don't" think your exchange Misterton (SLMIS) has been upgraded to FTTP only FTTC fibre service is available.

Phase numbers did not start at zero, but follow on from the commercial roll-out which made it phase 10 or 11 (a bit fuzzy on exact figure)

Mine says Phase BDUK West Yorkshire 13b from January to June 2015
But a Cabinet already done last year says : FTTC Available from 26th November 2014 = Phase BDUK West Yorkshire 12b

Fibre Street Cabinet 1: P2 FTTC Available from 23rd December 2014 Phase BDUK Nottinghamshire 12b

So i take it that maybe 13b means this year ?
