Strange loss of FTTC upload speed.

My fibre has been connected and running just fine for nearly 3 weeks now. It has been sync'd at roughly 67Mbps down and 17Mbps up as per my speedtest result in my sig. On wednesday, whilst at work, my modem disconnected twice over the course of the day and now my upload is sync'd at 12903Kbps and won't go any faster. Download is sync'd at 65564Kbps and I'm happy about that.

I would like to know if anyone knows what could have caused this? Interleaving is off and hasn't been on at all. The line seems very stable. BTW Performance test gave:

Does your family use at the same time as you? That can affect the speeds.

Or maybe since fibre came to you recently, more people are signing up on the cabinet, making the speeds slower?

It's absolutely nothing to do with anybody else using the connection at the same time as me. This wouldn't affect sync speed!

A set of telnet stats may be useful.

I believe the case sensitive relevant commands for a Billion are:-

adsl info --stats

adsl info --pbParams


It would be even better if you had the before & after stats & better still would be the various 24/7 graphs via HG612 Modem Stats (works with the Billion Bipac 8800nl) from before & after that would show any changes in line or performance conditions.

I contributed to the creation of MyDSLWebStats, but it is actually tbailey2's site.

We haven't yet decided which are the most useful G.INP stats to upload, so for the time being, we have to rely on raw stats or the graphical output from my HG612 Modem Stats package or DSLStats (The latest version of DSLStats now shows *some* G.INP data graphs)

Either way, it's a great site - well done!!

I've just checked and all the stats were uploaded for 7th which is when this happened so which graphs in particular would you like. As you know, there are loads of them!!

All of them?

A montage all the ongoing stats graphs from say the last 12 days would have been ideal, but I see you are using DSLStats, which doesn't provide that level of info (as far as I am aware).

Some before & after DSLStats graphs MIGHT provide some clues if you have those.
