Just moved form EO lines over to New Cabinet number 27, just ten feet away Fibre cabinet installed already.
Does not mention fibre on the Bt checker just the cab number
Anyone know How long it takes to be able to place an order for Fibre ?
thanks

At this stage, probably just a case of checking the checker regularly.
Some take many months some much quicker.
I'd hope an EO/PCP retrofit would be up and running fairly quickly.

For us it took about six weeks from the initial install of the two cabinets in the exchange compound to orders being taken.
The main delay seemed to be the time taken to move the EO lines to the PCP.
I'd estimate about 200 EO lines needed to be moved.

1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year ...
You need the cabinet installed and commissioned
The exchange need to be fully upgraded and commissioned
Fibre possibly needs running in to the exchange and also to the cabinet

The BT checker using my phone number says the cabinet number ,but using the postcode still just shows
On Exchange ( no cabinet number )

What about the full address check?

So the DSL checker needs to be updated. Is there a fibre cabinet there too, or is your cab one of the new multi-cabs?

Fibre cabinet installed already same time as PCP

This happened to me in Aberdeen.
about 100m from me a new PCP and FTTC cab was installed about Christmas and I never thought anything of it. But in the last week or so I've had emails form TT, BT and Sky telling me Fibre is not available.
So that's about 4/5 months.
It may have been live sooner, but none of the suppliers were contacting me until now

A typo or do they really tell you the bad news?

Had one done locally under BDUK. It was days after as the Fibre cab had been stood and commissioned before the EO line swaps.
Our own EO is being done just now and the team working on it says the bottleneck is the E-Side jointing team that do the EO swap, as there are plenty of teams doing FTTC installs.
Just keep watching the wholesale checker as EO cabs are usually only done after other cabs off the exchange are, and that means the fibre backhaul is already close by.

The dsl checker changed from EO to new cabinet 3 for me then it was 4 weeks until it changed to fibre being available/estimates/accepting orders.

Hope its sooner rather than later !
