Fibre Line slow at night.

Maybe I'll get somewhere if I post this publicly...

For the past 2 weeks my 80Mb fibre anytime from 6.00pm to 1.00am goes from 50-70ish mps to 0 to 3mps

Asked to do speed tests and then enter my number so talktalk business can see the results.. I can't do this as the page times out.

Why do I feel nobody from TalkTalk are listening?

Do pings to the first as host (hop 3) show the packet loss? And does your modem let you see the line stats and do things improve when using test socket?

My Speed is normal now.

If the stats from the modem have not changed then the odds are leaning towards some congestion in the TalkTalk network somewhere.

If this is clearing up after most people have gone to bed, then it is pointing to a heavily congested bit of TalkTalk network somewhere.

So if the problem is high traffic on the TalkTalk network....

On TT here. Residential mind but got no issues with speed here.

May I suggest posting on the TT community forum as the OCE's there are much more use than telephone/email support most of the time.
