Bridge of Weir Exchange

Hi

Would anyone be able to provide any information about the Bridge of Weir exchange which was fibre enabled in March apparently.

No one I know has been able to order yet and I am on an EOL so would appreciate if anyone would have any info in potential / planned new cabinets or other solutions?

The exchange gets labelled as enabled when one or more cabinets go live and cabinets 2 & 4 are live and open to orders.

Two new cabinets are to be added 10 and 11 which cover a lot of the EO lines (but not all) as well as FTTC for other existing cabinets. So patience.

In which case your line shows up as exchange only on the checkers, but appears to be slated to connect to either cabinet 10 or 11 depending on the exact address.

It is very likely both cabinets will located very close to the exchange, so speeds would be the same and you are around 500m from the exchange so superfast speeds available, but not likely to be the full 76.

Until the cabinets are stood and position confirmed cannot be really sure on distance.

Thanks very much for the information. Happy to wait a while for fibre but its nice to know there is (hopefully) light at the end of the tunnel
