No Fibre for me but Fibre for my neighbours?

Hi Guys, first post so go easy on me been a long time viewer, first time poster so if I'm in the wrong forum please point me in the right direction. Great forum BTW.

So here is my situation, I live on a semi recent new build estate (two years old now). Several of my neighbours CAN get FTTC (including my next door neighbour) but my address and postcode only shows up as standard ADSL available and has done since I moved in. I check dslchecker.bt.com every other day. I know that everyone on the small estate (30? houses) are served by Cabinet99 off of the Mansfield exchange.

In an attempt to kick my property into life I ordered a POTS service via ZEN, I have the number, line went live and works, my billing started a couple of weeks ago. But still no sign of FTTC for my address or line number.

I tried talking to my line provider but their sales team gave me the standard "maybe the cab is at capacity". If that is the case why would I be able to order FTTC against next doors address (both sides!).

If anyone could give me some pointers it would be much appreciated!

Using the BT DSL Checker at: http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.address what does it give as speeds for the neighbours' lines? And does everything else apart from FTTC correspond with your address? Screenshots with addresses removed might be useful.

Then, what does it give for the three phone numbers?

I know a couple of houses on the cul-de-sac DO have FTTC, but I'm not overly friendly with everyone! Next door is on standard BT Broadband currently. I'll have to ask them for their line number...

I know it's a long shot but you may not be on all the BT databases

Thanks buddy, is this something that I should just wait out? My address hasn't shown for FTTC ever but the neighbours has been on for about 6-8 months?
Any ideas how long it takes to sync the DBs?

All houses seem to be similar in capability based on address - however your number not only has FTTC missing, ADSL2+ and Max are missing too.

What service are you on?

You need to get the actual numbers of other houses both with and without FTTC and see what they show.



Do you know the actual distance to the cabinet?

I only have POTS only, no DSL service on the line. neighbour has DSL only but i'm waiting to catch him to get his landline number.

Approx 200M from the Cabinet99 (new state so the copper is only 2 years old also)

Try and find the number of someone with FTTC too. That will show how close to the estimates they are.

Is there a reason you have chosen not to have an ADSL based service before?

I have been making use of a 4G based router supplied by work but they want it back!

Have you tried calling BT up and see what they say about it?
