Fritzbox 7490 - CRC Errors and how to 'fix' them

I'm on VDSL (FTTC) and I'm seeing lots of errors. Is this a significant problem or not, and if so, what should I change to fix them?

I can supply more info if it is helpful.

I don't believe it is too bad.

1556 error seconds from boot ? How long has it been since a reboot.

To understand that last part correctly, it needs to be seen formatted correctly. Can you get an actual screen shot hosted somewhere and a link.

I don't know if 172 errors are typical/acceptable and how to interpret the spectrum graphs. Any advice welcome.

If you go to the top of any page (right hand corner)within your router GUI there is a "?" that is the manual/help file link .

That explains all the entries.

All connections show some errors, your first figure is the errors since boot, it is tiny , there is nothing to worry about.

I cannot see anything wrong with those ...

Depending on how full your cabinet is an current uptake you may see your connection slow down as others are added.

Unless you want to drive yourself nuts, then just ignore them. AVM dropped FECs from the GUI because it argued that it was just an indication of the box doing what it is made to do. If your downstream SNR is good and you are not experiencing any loss of connection, then do nothing. If you are really concerned, then you can adjust Line Settings towards stability but this will result in a loss of speed.

I am on a pretty stable line about 300M from the FTTC cabinet. My 7490 last re-synch'ed 18 days ag
