Hi,
Looking on the digital scotland site, it would appear we were due to get FTTC by the end of June. Which hasn't happened. I don't suppose there's a way to find out if/when this is going to happen? There's a new pub opening down the road soon and I'd hoped that they would have put pressure to get fibre in the area for their business.
Thanks
Paul

Cant find anything on roadworks.org . Is there a Fttc cab built anywhere near it? There is no plans on the DSL checker. Best thing to do is email digital scotland!

There's a new mini cabinet (FTTC?) been installed at Cabinet 91 just up the road in the last few weeks, so I'm guessing they're going to have to run the cable up to it. I'll email digital scotland. Thanks.

Try looking on roadworksscotland.org rather than roadworks.org which just covers England and Wales. Hope this helps.

think cab 91 is being enabled not cab 90 -- so nothing on 90 as far as I can see

Cool. Yes I'm on cabinet 90. 91 covers the housing estate next to us. So i'm hoping we'll be upgraded soon after.

don't think anything is planned for 90 - may be worth speaking to your developer

I don't think Fastman2 needs to use Telecom-Tariffs <g>

Yeah I spoke to Taylor Wimpey at the time. They don't want to know. As far as they're concerned it's an Openreach issue and not their job to supply decent infrastructure.

Digital Scotland replied and seem to think the postcode is in scope and will be supplying FTTC between June and December.

Hah, brilliant. Someone needs to point out to developers like this that if they do co-operate with OR a little bit, and indeed ask them to come around to do their thing once the time is appropriate, then they might sell their houses more quickly.

that why I suggested another conversation with the developer -- a number of things have changed --developers are more sensitive on broadband issues that they were previous -- broadband much higher profile than before

I chased the developer again - let's see if there position has changed at all

So far, silence from Taylor Wimpey and Digital Scotland. Joys!
