Cabinet 13 Eastry - Sandwich Exchange

After three years standing quiet and neglected.

Walked the dog past cabinet 13 serving our house tonight and heard the gentle whir of fans and warm air coming from the vents.

Which made me think that our existing ADSL from the exchange is probably supported by a diesel generator during prolonged power outages whilst FTTC at best has a small local battery. Is this a correct assumption and does anyone know the duration of power outage it is designed to cover?

8 hours of battery life and if necessary can be swapped out to extend life, but only likely to happen if a business line involved and they are paying the extra SLA costs

Phone is unaffected as still runs back to the exchange so emergency calls work

Depends on the number of end users affected . if an mso (major service outage ) is declared then regular battery swaps or a standby trailer will be arranged
