New to fibre

I've just ordered TalkTalk Fibre Large (current customer) after my villages cab was set live today for orders.

I would probably say i'm about 900mtrs by road from the cabinet (which seems to follow the telephone poles).

The Openreach checker says my speed estimate is 80/20 clean and 74/19 impacted.

Does the openreach checker not take into account distance from the NGA as i was expecting around 40mb'ish based on the various speed estimators?

It could be because you are on LLU phone.

What does this checker give if you use the Address option? Please copy and paste the estimates table so we can give best advice. Include the line above the table that shows your address and cabinet number, but edit out the address. We basically want the table and can no. (Don't use the pure postcode option).

What speed estimate did TalkTalk give you too, their order system usually gives an estimate

Here's the openreach address checker output

FTTC Range A (Clean) 80 80 20 20 -- Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 80 74.4 20 19 -- Available

TalkTalk said 40mb on fibre medium and on their chat when i changed it to fibre large they are saying it won't be below 50-60mb and up to 76mb

Either the cab is not where you think it is, or the checker is wrong.

Only way we can check is if you can share your postcode, if you want to hide that from public eyes email it to me [email protected] and will take a look.

This isn't a Northern Ireland address per chance? Since have seen some unusual estimates for a few others recently.

Did it give the cabinet number on the line above. That is very important.

Yep PCP5 off WWMART and i know exactly where it is and it's about 800mtrs walk following the road, hence why i've been expecting around the 30-40mbps speed.

ok so Andrew got back to me and confirmed there's an error in the checker.
He's confirmed that my estimates and talktalk's are about right!

So roll on 08/10/2015, which can't come soon enough!
