Hi all,
I am moving from Talktalk fiber to BT infinity and when I placed my order I was given a date of 20th of September then it was moved to the 25th, Now that's been and gone I am still with talktalk
I have phoned BT to find out the problem and they have now told me the line wasn't handed over by talktalk until the end of the 25th and is now a BT retail line, But I am still receiving talktalk down the line which shouldn't be happening if the line has been took over
Also all the backend work has been done just work needs done at the exchange

Did they tell you the new expected date?
Have you tried connecting the Home Hub?

It has been reported that just as with ADSLx both connections can be live on a line for a day or so, though much rarer on FTTC. Seeing as BT said it won't be live until Monday that wouldn't seem to be the case here.

I may try it later because the person sad it's ok bt's hands now so we shall see

I unplugged the talktalk router and put the bt home hub in to no avail, but I put the talktalk router back in now it's showing solid red for an Internet connection

Have you put the Home Hub back then? If that still doesn't work now, which is a couple of hours after the TT went dead, it might be worthwhile ringing BT again and asking them to activate your account if that hasn't been done.

Yes but still not working...
I called them and they said it won't be on till Monday as they are doing some work to fix the line but I am guessing it's something to do with my drop outs I had when I had bt but never when I was with talktalk

Hmmm.
That sounds like rhubarb .

What I don't get is it was working until I unplugged talktalks router can't be that good of timing
|
|

That puzzles me too.
I also feel a bit rotten about it, as it was my suggestion to try the HH . So my apologies if I've messed you up .

Not to worry, the guy from bt today said it shouldn't still have Internet going down it so was expecting it
|
|
|
|
Well I did a live chat with Talktalk and they told me they never cut it off so down to BT but they did say on their notes BT/Openreach found a fault on the line and it should be fixed tomorrow
Backs up my theory that it could be liked to the historical drop outs when I had BT

Let's hope so. Good luck . Let us know how things go.

Phoned BT for an order update to be told I have a date of tomorrow before my servies go live.
I was told its something to do with Openreach frame activity what ever that is
