The modem component obviously copes in either mode. It's the normally bridged-out router that I believe can't cope with heavy use.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 59997/15142kbps @ 600m. - BQM

Saying that, it's usually the PPPOE that's the cpu-killer but is there PPPOE on TT?

I thought FTTC was only PPPoE. (PTM v ATM).

No, Sky for example uses DHCP. BT uses PPPOE though. Dunno what TT uses.

DHCP on TalkTalk too, no authentication required
