If the BT line is installed to the NTE5, and that NTE5 is in use by VM with their faceplate, then surely your VM service will cease immediately. Long before your FTTC comes along.
If the VM line is terminated at the NTE that was previously a discontinued service from Openreach, then why should Openreach break a functioning VM service by installing a new line? Surely openreach would install a new NTE at the appropriate location?
Unless VM (as a licensed telco) are not supposed to touch the NTE in the property, which case it would be VM at fault and they would have to 'regularise their installation' first?
I know plenty of people with VM telephone lines that are connected to the NTE, as this is where extension wiring generally starts in the bigger residences.
