Speed locked at 40mbps!

Paying for 80mbps on Infinty 2 package, but BT wholesale speed tester says maximum speed 44mbps is achievable.

Any thought on why this is happening. First two weeks we were getting 70mbps. then it dropped!

Is that enough?

That's really low attenuation which should be good for full speed. I see the noise margin is above the target of 6 which indicates DLM has capped your line due to disconnections, in order to raise the noise margin to give your connection more resilience to noise.

Was this an engineer install or a self-install?

Is the modem connected to the master socket?

Do you have any extension wiring?

Well,

we had a Openreach engineer install the router, and he ran all the tests, with the results all positive

Our router is the BT Hub5 so no modem

The router is plugged into the master socket
