Ok to switch off QoS on HG612?

Hi,
I've noticed that if i disable Quality of Service (QoS) on my Huawei HG612 modem my upload throughput jumps from ~17mb/s to ~18mb/s according to speedtests. So is it safe to leave it off permanently? Download throughput remains the same at ~75mb/s.

One issue is that if you have Fon enabled then there may be no limits on 'guest' users but generally it is fine.
