Cab installed in jan, now what?

The cab serving my line was installed in jan, and ever since the openreach checker has said my line is now at the 'CONNECT' stage. Ever since the builders left the area, nobody has been back to the cabinet to install cables from the existing PCP or been inside the new cab. Why has no one been back since the cab was placed onto its base?

Just maybe busy doing work elsewhere.

Have you checked roadworks.org to see if there is any BT work going on? I remember a cab in a village near me was installed a few months before mine, but they were still installing the fibre all around the area.

In the end my cab was made live first.

It took 18 months from installing my cabinet to switching it on.

Some have been sited for 4 years and still not live.

Its possible the fibre has already been connected - and the delay is for your regional electricity firm to provide a power connection to it

The fibre spine already runs past the cabinet, and power was connected to the cabinet at the same time the cabinet base was placed (overhead power pole next to the cab) roadworks.org show no planned activity in the area for the next 12 months. Ive been driving around other cabs on the same exchange, and they seem to be in limbo too. The silver lock is not on the cab at the moment.

I wouldn't get your hopes up... My cabinet was installed in June 2013 and it still isn't live.
