Fibre package

Hi guys, now we have fibre available in our village, I was just wondering which package to get. We are currently on an 'upto 17 mb' package and we don't really need anything greater than 17 mb. On my asdl connection we currently get around 2 megabit. As we are only wanting 17 mb, do we keep on the same package and get BT to upgrade us to fibre so we can reach that speed or do we have to buy the 'upto 38 mb' package to get them speeds?

If your estimated speed is greater than 15meg then you'll need to order the "up to 38mbps" Infinity 1 package.

Yes that's right, it's the "slowest" FTTC package available

The difference is night and day, enjoy it!

Just to make things crystal the "up to 17Mbps" package is a different technology to the "up to 38Mbps" package. Your up to 17Mbps will not go faster than 2Mbps despite the changes that have been made. To get the higher speeds you have to upgrade to the FTTC package (up to 38Mbps) and the upgrade is likely to cost more than your current connection.
