BT roadworks codes.

[link to this post]

Hello all
Does anyone know what the bt codes translate to on roadworks sites etc.
BT are doing work at the end of my road and it states:

Reference: BT020-S000000073548 (2078340)
Location: Fw Opp 1 To Opp 6

what is FW opp 1 to opp 6 mean?

BT are about to start installing fibre in our exchange only village.. work is just starting now.
Some of the other road works codes near the exchange mentions PCP.. i guess that is new cabinets?

Problem is all the new PCP are next to the exchange so only a few houses around that will benefit for fast speeds with a bulk of the houses up to 1km away from the exchange.

thanks

No idea.

You'd still get a decent speed on FTTC at 1Km away.

"Footway opposite #1 to opposite #6". The job is probably to install poly duct or for blockage clearance (there should be some description on the roadworks job).

PCP is indeed the proper name for a cabinet (Primary Connection Point).

It's http://www.roadworksscotland.org/ no descriptions frown
I don't think the other site covers scotland.

15meg needed for netflix HD.

With the introduction and development of new codecs such as H.265, the bandwidth needed for higher quality streams is reducing.

Hello again

What sort of works would this mean: "F/W O/S Sub Station"
They are doing that soon.
Cabinets are going up elsewhere in the village at the moment.

Or: In the footpath in front of the electricity sub station.
