Bristol Easton Exchange Cabinet 43

Wrote to some local politicians about lack of Broadband / slowness in getting connected around my area and they recently responded that they made enquiries and work on this was due to start shortly.

Can anyone check whet here there are any plan to upgrade and activate soon?

Well I can see that cabinet 43 on the Easton Exchange is in scope, but I cannot see anything as yet.

You will know when stuff is starting to happen when you see a fibre cabinet popping up here PCP 43, you might even see your PCP Cabinet get upgraded due to it looks old.

its now almost two months later and I've had another look at the website checker and now this has moved back from 'In scope' to 'Investigating solutions'

Anyone have an idea why this may be and is it common?

any other information or indicators as to when this may get connected together with any view on which / how many cabinets close to mine (cabinet 43) are already connected would be great to know.

I live a mile from the Bristol city centre and have no fibre and no indication of when we will ever get it which is shocking but thats a post on its own for another day.

The cabinet is being re-planned again by the looks of it. So back to square one

I am connected to the same cabinet and can't believe it's taking so long to get it upgraded.

With speeds up to 5Mbps it really is difficult to work from home or use two devices at once.

Would be great if some information on the progress was provided.

I agree with Ribble, it seems that your cabinet is currently no longer in scope and is back as being "We are exploring solutions" once again.

Basically your cabinet is back as being under review.

Have you tried to fill in this form and for option 8 choose "When is fibre broadand going to be available in my area?" you normally have to wait up to 10 working days for a response from a person, though I have seen some replies happen in a few days.

That was one of the routes I took before I got my local MP involved as well as emailing the CEO of BT Group and the Chairman of BT asking what's the delay along with showing proof of our hardware being already in place and being live.
Granted we already had most if not all the hardware already installed, where as you don't, but its still worth trying.

Just remember always be polite to anyone you speak to at BT / Openreach.

So there is no harm in trying.

Status now moved to 'Field survey'

I emailed them and they indicated all works to be done by end of October.

Is that realistic? any other way to find info which would support this timeline?

Anyone with a view on when this cabinet will go live? Has been stuck on �connecting� since November and here https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm?xid=1... it has been saying April but nothing yet ahhh
