Fibre cabinet for EO Line.

Hi all.

Currently on a exchange only line in Kiveton and have been told to expect it between October and December.

Checked roadworks.org today and it shows the below.

Location: (PCP17) OPPOSITE JUNCTION WESLEY ROAD ON, STATION ROAD...
Description: Install 2m of 2 poly ducts in Footway,Provide 1 Cabinet and base (NGA cabinets)...

The interesting thing is that as far as I'm aware there's no cabinet 17 in Kiveton and if there is it's definitely not in the location above.

Is this likely to be a cab for fibre and a separate PCP or maybe a all-in one?

Sounds like work for EO lines, not at my maps to see if that makes sense though

I doesn't include details such as properties passed or an approximate post code which suggests that this may well be for one or other or both of the remaining bundles of EO lines on the exchange (Bundles 5 & 10). It appears that EO bundles 1, 3 & 4 are currently being re-routed via cabs with FTTC planned for October 2016. It's just possible that P17 is for one of those bundles but the date differs.

And now it's disappeared. Very bizarre

Roadworks associated with installing our AIO cab came and went. In our case more due to an awkward/obstructive local authority, Lambeth, than to BT or its sub-contractors.

Lambeth having instructed BT to place the cab on the opposite side of the road from where it was initially planned to be it was finally "stood" in December 2015. It wasn't until late June 2016 that Lambeth finally allowed BT to lay trunking across the road and even then refused to ban roadside parking for the day that work was scheduled. We ended up filling the various parking spaces with residents' cars the evening before and only moving them when BT arrived to do the work.

It will be an all in one in the not too distant future
